Cities are multilayered, multi-cultured, multi-structured mash pots of histories and peoples. They are full of fascination, inspiration, and  knowledge, but they are also intense and can weigh a spirit down.  When I first decided to make this artwork, the idea was to put the multi-coloured rainbow with beautiful coloured stitching glittering above the city multi-faceted city.  When I tried this, it was brazen and wrong.  Sadly, it was the dark grey that seemed more fitting. There is a hint of a rainbow glimmering from behind the dark cloak.   Blessing is present, but hidden.
