The Fate of the Refugees (“They Went to Sea in a Sieve”),

2020, felt, photos of Donald Trump’s offensive mouth, white gold, papers, string, thread, 34 x 20 x 1 inches.

This title comes from an Edward Leer poem called the “Jumblies”. It is pretty self explanatory. People are pathetically looking for a better life, but being doomed to fail, not just because they are ill-equipped to get to their destination and the way is dangerous, but because the politics of helping people from other countries was non-existent under the Trump regime. Sadly, the US pretends to care now, but it is an abysmal farce.
