The Dress I Had When My Father Was Washed Away From Us

When I was nine, we went on vacation to Barbados as a family. I bought a dress that had this fabric when I was there.  A few days later,  my father had a deadly heart attack on the beach. This is a memory of that hideous time and a memorial to him. My dress is a shell.
