Ideal summertime is to achieve a languid, dreamy, flowing, relaxed existence.  Consistent warmth and lushness infuse the senses.  Time is fluid.  Reality is untroubled.  Summer Dreaming is an attempt to embody this feeling. 

Of course my work is not Chagall or Rousseau, but the message in this artwork is inspired  by their dreamy fantastic visions.

It is evening. The day is calming and cooling down. The glowing moon has risen between the branches. It is not completely sundown . Floras’ colours seem to vibrate between dark and bright. Birds sing the dusk chorus.  A nest is tucked in for the night.  Yet, there is something off about the birds. The structure of the trees is not literal. Materials are slightly discordant.  I am hoping that these qualities lead to the essence of summer dreaming and its buzzing peace of  dusk.
