The whites (“whites”,  because there is more than one colour white) layers are papers that have been recycled.  The prints, My Writings in Four Directions, had to be trimmed to be uniform for the artwork What Sysiphus Found.  The trimmings found their way into Layers: It’s a Small World After All.
