2016, in collaboration with Jennifer Abastillas’s first grade class, papers, strings, wire, thread, beads, coffee stain, pencils, ink, fabric, beads, wool felt, 25 x 32 inches.

Jakie’s first grade class learned this amazing song and so we made an artwork inspired by it.  The children drew self portraits and chose their clothes. I sewed them on for them.  They drew places and things that gave them joy. Together, we all made a big felt rainbow.  I sewed all the bits together and voilà.
