Dandelions and barnacles are overlooked and underrated. However, dandelions are indestructible and grow anywhere. They are full of iron and B vitamins for your health. Their many fascinating stages of life are simply delightful. Barnacles, too, are pleasing to the eye. As hermaphrodites they are able to reproduce copiously, mightily attaching themselves to most surfaces. They too are delicious and nutritious. In this artwork, I have married sea and land weeds into a pulsating, planet of their own. Despite human decimation of the earth as we know it, certain small creatures will proliferate. I am imagining an earth ruled by these Dandicles and Barnelions.
