In today’s world, I find it shocking that almost every woman (and now more and more men) have been artificially altering their bodies to “enhance” their looks.   Of course this trend has been going on for millennium, but today it is ever present from butts,  boobs,  hair, cheeks, noses, genitals, height, foreheads, eyelids, necks, fat, skin, etc. etc. etc.  I feel quite innocent and out of it and am often shocked when someone tells me that  they have had “work done”.  I do sometimes feel that I am  personally falling apart, but then I just walk away from the mirror. 

This little artwork is a small-scale reaction to this strange and overbearing movement.  Vintage panty hose are the original leg enhancers.  Their bits  are sewn together in a Frankenstein style stitch to hold together an ideal breast. 

My full disclosure is that I take vitamins, have pierced my ears, like to tan my skin and got laser on my legs, armpits and upper thighs.  Not that this is that thrilling, but I am not a pure saint.
