Big Flower Blast

2017, papers, ink, beads, wire, gouache, photo, patches, holes, shadows, 59 x 43 inches.

This artwork began as a couple of flowers that I recycled from rejected artworks. They grew and grew. It is a vibrant and perfectly clashing colour combination. I am sure that the colour will change with time because there is a huge photograph in the middle. Also, it is rare that colours don’t fade.¬† This flower blast¬† is also about shape and negative/positive space.
