In today’s world, I find it shocking that almost every woman (and now more and more men) have been artificially altering their bodies to “enhance” their looks.   Of course this movement has been going on for millennium, but today it is ever-present from butts,  boobs,  hair, cheeks, noses, genitals, height, foreheads, eyelids, necks, fat, skin, etc. etc. etc.  I feel quite innocent and out of it and am often shocked when someone tells me that  they have had “work done”.  I do sometimes feel that I am  personally falling apart, but then I just walk away from the mirror. 

This Frankenstein stitched bottom is a contemplation on the life threatening operations people are having to alter their bums into asses.  I have used vintage panty hose harkening back to the days of yore when women only applied makeup or wore clothing to “improve” their looks.   Birch bark is earth growth sprouting out of the cracks because, in the end, this is how we all end up anyway.
